Billu Barber

Billu Barber renamed BILLU is directed by Priyadarshan starring IrMultimediarfan Khan, Lara Dutta and Shahrukh Khan in the main lead with a host of cameos by Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.
The movie is about two distinct people one being a barber in a village and another being a superstar. The story is all about friendship between both the characters. The story is all about Billu's (Irrfan) life and his struggle to earn his bread. The story is about Sahir Khan (SRK) and his journey to stardom. Priyadarshan remakes his Kurselan which worked well in the south into BILLU.
The movie is pretty high on entertainment value and the director who has been giving wacky comedies recently gives an emotional movie which is sensible and interesting. There is also a punch of comedy in the movie Rajpal Yadav, Om puri and Asrani have done excellent work.

The music of the movie by Pritam is already superhit and Marjani, Love Mera Hit Hit and You Get Me Rockin and Reeling are the pick of the lot. Priyadarshan has done excellent direction and weaved in two stories perfectly and making the use of glamour and simplicity at the right moment at the right time.

The movie belongs to Irrfan Khan who has time and again proved that he is, if not the best one of the best actors. Lara Dutta also gives a very good performance. SRK does what he has been doing for the last 10 years, being a Superstar but this time on screen although he plays second fiddle here but he provides equal entertainment and the required glamour. The supporting cast is efficient.

On the whole, BILLU is a good movie, which is correctly marketed with a superhit music and an excellent climax. The tale of friendship is the high points of the movie which takes the movie to an all-time high in the last few reels.
